Synergy is a South Wales men’s A-Capella close harmony-singing chorus with a different slant to your typical male voice choir.

Synergy is unusual in that it currently has two Musical Directors: Martin Flory and Andrew Walker. Each of these highly skilled musicians have won gold medals at national level. They also have the benefit of an Asst.Musical Director,David Mitchell who is a graduate in music and a percussionist of note. In rehearsal, their level of expertise and musical ability demands and produces quality work – and yet it is not hard work for the singers. You might imagine that standing on your feet for two and a half hours or more and going over and over a song in order to get it right might be hard work – but no, it is pleasure – the rafters shake and the air rings with our special sound.
We know from the approval and the appreciation of our audiences at weddings, competitions, parties, charity events and other ‘sing-outs’, (such as our three appearances at the Cardiff Millennium Centre), that the audiences really appreciate our work and efforts.
Currently meeting every Thursday evening at 7:30pm upstairs at Abergavenny Rugby Club we share friendship, musical excellence, enjoyment and the love of a good song.
